Are you not able to sleep all night even though you are feeling tired ?

Do you wake up in the middle of the night and just stare at the ceilling, check the watch from time to time and spend the whole night just staring at it ?

In this article we are going to talk about insomnia and the causes of it.

 

What is insomnia?

There is a normal variation in the amount of sleep one requires to feel well slept and fresh the following day.  Insomnia is a sleep disorder where you find difficulty in sleeping. No matter how hard your day was or how hard you wanted to sleep you are not able to sleep than you are suffering from insomnia. It is inability to get the quantity of sleep your body needs each day to wake up felling all refreshed or recharged and full of enthusiasm, with the full confidence of starting a new day and setting a new goal.

As we humans differ from one another in the same way the amount of sleep ones body requires also differs from person to person. Normally, as humans we need 6-8 hours of sleep every day to feel fresh and to be healthy. Despite of spending eight hours every night lying on your bed and if you are not able to get the desired sleep which you want or sound sleep which you desire and which your body needs, if you still feel drosey and exhausted after spending 8 hours of the last night laying on your bed than you must be suffering from insomnia.

Insomania is a major concern in many place and nepalese citizen isnt some one new to it they attack people ranging from small as 15yrs to 85yrs old but mostly it is found in elderly people. Insomnia is  mostly caused by the consumption of caffine at work or during the day time, taking too much of stress also leads to insomnia, even felling overloaded with responsibilities also leads to insomnia.

Signs and symptoms of insomnia.

Everyone of us ocassionally faces sleeping problems but we cant just tell whether it is just a minor, or major sleep disorder. Here are some of the symptoms that you may face if you are suffering from insomnia.

1.      Difficulty falling asleep despite felling exhausted

2.      Interupted sleep

3.      Waking up early

4.      Not feeling refreshed after waking up

5.      Light sleep

6.      Trouble getting back to sleep after awaking during the night

7.      Depending  on sleeping pills or any other means such as alcohol for sleeping

8.      Daytime drowsiness, felling of fatigue and getting irritated with anything and everything that’s  going on around you.

9.      Lack of conentration in anykind of work you do

Due to advancement in medical science and technology, if you are suffering from insomnia now you can cure insomnia with changes you make on your ownself that is without relying on any medical slepping pills or without depending on any specialist. This is certaintly a godd news isnt it?

Causes of insomnia

Sometimes you ought to be a detective and find what is going on within your self.almost everyone of us experience moments of sleeping disorder in our lifes. Climate changes can also hamper a persons sleep. Emotional issues such as anxiety, stress, and even depression can be the cause of insomnia. Your physical health, daytime sleeping habit can also be the cause of insomnia. You must try to find out all the root cause of insomnia and you can work out or treat  it according to the cause.

Psycological causes that leads to insomnia are anxiety, stress and even depression, biplor disorder, post-traumatic sleep disorder.

Sleep disorder that causes insomnia are sleep apnea, narcolepsy.

Anxiety and depression are the main causes of insomnia.

 

 

 

 

The vicious circle of insomnia

 

 

 

The above picture talks about the vicious circle of insomnia as shown in the first circle all the insomaniac patient start out with some disordered sleeping habbit when it continious in a long run the patient then starts to feel more worried about things and he’s always in the state of anxiaty. This then leads to physical tension such as  muscles being worn out quickely, being exjusted quickly then normal. This leads to poor sleeping habbits and dosing off in the day time due to lack of sleep in the night time. At the end of the cycle a persion gets addicted to sleeping pills and have to rely every night to take it just to get some shut eyes.

 

The life of an insomaniac patient is very pityfull and painfull as they cannot rest their body like a normal human being like we can. There are a lot of remedy to take care of an insomanic patient and to reduce the chances of insomania which we will be talking in our next article.
