Center for Psychological Health (CPH) was formally established on 14 of March, 2014 by an Associate Professor in Clinical Psychology still working in Kathmandu Medical College, Sinamangal, Kathmandu. With an experience of more than two decades working with people who suffer from various psychosocial issues, I realized that most of these individuals visit hospitals and are immediately diagnosed with a "condition" and are started on a psychotropic medication. If one talks to these individuals almost everybody will tell that the “pills” are not helping but making their condition worse. Many develop serious side effects such as drowsiness and more laziness, weight gain, decreased alertness, decrease in their ability to concentrate and memorize and in fact they are suffering more.
We conduct activites that are based more in Lifestyle Modification and Cognitive Behavior Therapy.
