Mr. Bhupendra Singh Gurung is registered Clinical Psychologist (Nepal Health Professional Council, NHPC NO. 19), a graduate of Institute of Medicine, Tribhuvan University, obtained his MPhil in Clinical Psychology.  He has a completed Master’s degree in Psychology from Tribhuvan University.  His expertise lies in mental health. He is trained in CBT, Gestalt Therapy and Supervision. And has participated in short duration trainings related to psychotherapies. During his career, he holds positions as a consultant/clinical psychologist at the Children and Adolescents Psychiatry Unit, Kanti Children’s Hospital, and as clinical psychologist in Mental Hospital. He has work experience as Lecturer/Clinical Psychologist in Kathmandu University School of Medical Sciences, Dhulikhel Hospital. Implementations and capacity building in various roles (as a Project Coordinator, Supervisor, Counselor, and Trainer) at the Centre for Victims of Torture (CVICT) Nepal, the Bhutanese Refugee Camp (TPO Nepal), and Kopila Nepal in conjunction with other international and government organizations. He has well experience in counseling and psychotherapy, and psychological assessment and conducting training in mental health in clinical and community settings, and academics. He specializes in evidence-based practice in mental health and is keen in implementing eastern knowledge on mental health. He is enthusiastic about integrating both viewpoints in mental health service.
