Tau Tangles
Nerons are made up of a cell body, a long axon and several dendrites which connect to other neurons to exchange information in the brain. The fibers which are normal part of the neurons are tangled by a hyperphosphorylated proteins known as tau causing the tangles to aggregate in an insoluble form. When their accumulation are excessive in the brain the neurons cannot carry out their normal function and evenutally result in excessive inflammation in the brain.
