Madhu Bilash Khanal, Senior School Psychologist, has 25 years of extensive experience in various roles, including Program Coordinator, School Psychologist, Child Psychologist, Art Based Therapy, Field Coordinator, International Certified Career coach, K-12 School Principal, and College Lecturer. His expertise spans group and individual psychosocial counseling for children and adolescents, as well as substantial experience in training design, writing training manual and reference materials and delivery for K-12 teachers. He is adept in project design, writing, and management, demonstrating strong leadership skills and proficiency in project evaluation studies.

Madhu Bilash Khanal worked as an editor-in-chief for a Human Psychology Monthly Magazine and worked together with different INGOs and international partners, including the World Bank, Finish Evangelical Lutheran Mission (FELM) Finland, Swiss Development Corporation (SDC), and other NGOs such as Welfare Society Nepal. While working with these different organizations, He mostly worked with underprivileged and marginalized populations to promote and advance inclusion, diversity, and equity through participatory group learning and developing inclusive policy at school. He is committed to promoting school-based psychosocial intervention through research, training, and the development of intervention tools. He aspires to work with parents, teachers, educators, and policymakers to reform educational policy and effectively implement psychosocial counseling in K-12 education system.

Additionally, Madhu Bilash Khanal possess excellent skills in training design and delivery for K-12 teachers on student psychosocial counseling, student career counseling,  Teacher stress management, proposal development, and scriptwriting for short films and documentaries. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with various governmental organizations, international non-governmental organizations (INGOs), and national and international donor agencies, including CMC Nepal, K-12 Government Schools of Nepal, FELM Finland, World Bank, CBM Global, SDC, among others. Furthermore, he has published many training manual and reference manual such as school counseling, School Mental Health ToT manual, student Psychosocial counselling Trainer’s Guide and trainees reference manual, Teacher stress management Trainer’s guide and trainees reference manual, suicide prevention at school, bullying prevention, life skill education at school, psychosocial support to the children in the context of disaster/Pandemic along with text book of psychology for M.Ed. and educational psychology for B.Ed. He has been working as program coordinator for School Mental Health Program as program coordinator/school psychologist since 2005.

Madhu Bilash Khanal has authored many national and international books and papers related to mental health specially for child mental health and school mental health.
